Police say the suspects took luxury vehicles, documents, jewelry and artwork from the home of Henry Parra and Adam Hlavaty. Investigators say additional arrests may follow.

Two people have been charged after authorities said they burglarized the Coral Gables home of Henry Parra and Adam Hlavaty, a South Florida couple killed in a helicopter crash in Kenya on August 19.

Coral Gables police allege that Geybert Alexander Garcia, 40, and Melany Perdomo, 24, entered the couple’s home between August 20 and August 22, taking personal and business documents, jewelry, electronics, artwork and two vehicles: a 2023 Range Rover and a 2020 Porsche Taycan.

Investigators said location data from a stolen MacBook and the Range Rover helped lead officers to a northwest Miami-Dade residence. Police said they found both vehicles outside, executed a search warrant and arrested Garcia and Perdomo. Authorities said they recovered property connected to the victims, including documents, a vehicle key fob and artwork.

Garcia faces charges including burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, two counts of grand theft of a vehicle and first-degree grand theft. Perdomo faces burglary and first-degree grand theft charges, according to reports citing arrest records. The charges are allegations, and neither defendant has been convicted.

Police Chief Ed Hudak said investigators believe the home was targeted after the couple’s deaths became public. Authorities also said the inquiry uncovered suspected fraudulent identification materials and may extend beyond the burglary, with more arrests expected.

Fox News reported that Perdomo is subject to an immigration detainer, citing records it reviewed. That status is separate from the criminal allegations and does not establish guilt in the burglary case.
