The 27-minute presentation offered a fuller look at Jason and Lucia, Vice City and the game’s activities as Rockstar acknowledged a leak days before the reveal.
Rockstar Games released a 27-minute extended preview of Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, August 27, offering its most detailed official look yet at the long-awaited crime game after leaked material surfaced online days earlier.
The presentation, which debuted through Netflix, followed Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos through the fictional Florida-inspired state of Leonida, including Vice City. Rockstar said the footage was captured in-game on PlayStation 5.
The preview showed the pair’s relationship alongside robberies, police pursuits and other open-world activities. Players will be able to switch between Jason and Lucia during parts of the story, including action sequences.
Rockstar had acknowledged the earlier leak in a public statement, saying it was painful for the development team and asking audiences to wait for official material. The company said Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to arrive November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The new showcase also arrives as Netflix expands its relationship with Rockstar. The streaming company hosted the initial presentation, while Rockstar said the video would later be made available through its own channels.
