Ollie Robinson and Jofra Archer led a sharp seam attack as Pakistan were bowled out for 110, leaving England 261 runs ahead in the second Test.

England moved within sight of a series victory after a commanding second day of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord’s.

Resuming on 248 for nine, England’s tail added 42 runs to finish the first innings on 290. Gus Atkinson made 45 and Josh Tongue was unbeaten on 30 as the pair’s final-wicket stand strengthened the hosts’ position.

Pakistan then collapsed to 110 in 37.2 overs against England’s four-man pace attack. Ollie Robinson took four wickets for 11 runs, while Jofra Archer claimed three for 26. Azan Awais, with 46, was Pakistan’s leading scorer.

England lost three wickets in their second innings, including captain Joe Root for 24, but reached 81 for three before bad light ended play early on Friday. Emilio Gay was unbeaten on 30 and Harry Brook had seven not out.

The hosts began Saturday with a 261-run lead and seven second-innings wickets in hand. Having already won the opening Test, England are strongly placed to complete the series win, though Pakistan still have an opportunity to limit the target and force a turnaround.
